Environmentalist Leanne Allison and wildlife biologist Kareten Heuer follow a heard of 120,000 caribou on foot acroos 1,00 kilometers of rugged Artic tundra—They let the caribou guide them through a wild and remote landscape, from the central Yukon to coastal Alaska and back.
For five month they ski and hike across mountains, swim icy river, brave Arctic weather and endure the mosquitoes. They survive and encounter with a hungry grizzly bear, hunger, fatigue. Pain and fatigue became routine, but the sacrifice was worth as they witnessthe caribou migration.
