The Himalayas have a special appeal to Tim, having returned three times since his initial visit and trek to Everest Base Camp in 1999. This is his second book on the Himalayas, the first one "Solu-Khumbu: The Trek to Everest" was published in 2002.

He is currently working on a book about Eco-Tourism in distant lands.
