David Bloom and Erik Wolfe
This is the first guide to the Sedona, Arizona area, published in at least two decades. It provides up-to-date information on over 550 climbing routes, varying from multi-pitch climbs to small cragging areas practilly “road side attractions” of easy access to all. It is a year-round climbing region, as long as you compensate for the extreme heat during the hot months, if you take measures to protect yourself from heat exhaustion, have plenty of water, and choose the appropriate routes to climb during the high heat hours of the day.
David Bloom and Erik Wolfe, local climbers, have done a great job cataloguing information themselves and from other locals. The topos are easy to read, the rating fair, and the road maps are accurate.
