From being an out-of-step drum major in high school to an intercollegiate fencer at Yale, the author was an attorney for the S.E.C. counter-sabotage investigator for the Army Air Corps, U.S. Navy deck officer, military governor in Korea, practicing attorney, Ohio assistant attorney-general, college and law school professor. He suffered the unimaginable loss of an only child and then of his lovely wife of thirty-four years. He lived about half his life in Ohio and the other half in California. From the depths of despair, he found an incredible new life and many years of happiness with a wonderful second wife and four loving stepchildren, only once again to suffer the tragic loss of the youngest of those!
